Fishing and Speed 1974-1980

After the sale of Sea Camper, the Borum's once again found themselves producing custom boats. The 70's found The Borum Boat Co. producing very fast speed boats and some of the first wide beam bass boats that we find so common today. Otis Borum, then in his 60's, began to move aside to let Don take the helm with innovative design and production methods. Many of the boats from this era forward were extremely innovative and ahead of their time. It is during this time we see Don working with designs still used in todays race and bass boats.

Above right, is the last boat produced by Don Borum. Below is a design by Don Borum that never went into production......maybe someday!!!
